But I know what you really mean is "Mom, please shut up so I can go and off and ignore what you just said".
Chuckling over this one. I always make my poor children tell me what I just said so I know they heard me. Haha. Lots of times they are able to repeat it verbatim even while in a tv stupor. It's an incredible skill I have taught them.
